Welcome to My Class!![]() My name is Rebecca Henderson and it is Great to be a Valley Cub! I am so excited about starting this new year. I will be teaching you (or your child) 7th grade life science. We are diving into a teaching/learning program, AMSTI. It allows the student to learn through hands on techniques. I am starting my 21st year of teaching and my 20th year at Alexandria.
I attended Alexandria High School from kindergarten through the sixth grade. (Back then we only had one school!) I transferred before the seventh grade to Wellborn High School, where I later graduated in 1995. I attended University of Alabama at Birmingham for two years, and then transferred to Jacksonville State. There I received my B.S. in secondary education biology. I am married to Ronny Henderson and we have a daughter, Rebecca, who is 14 and in the 9th grade at Ohatchee High School. We attend and are very active at Mt. Zion Baptist Church. I am looking forward to teaching my new 7th graders and discovering new and innovative ways to learn!! Sincerely, Mrs. Becky Henderson Click here to place this on your site! |
